Mushroom Bruschetta

Ingredients
- 300 g Mushrooms Whatever kind you prefer, I use brown caps myself
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- ½ tsp sugar
- ½ tsp thyme leaves if using dried 1/4 tsp
- salt & pepper
- ½ clove of garlic
- 4 slices of nice crusty bread
- extra olive oil for drizzling Optional
DISCLAIMER
I recommend using the Metric measurements (instead of cups & spoons) for more accuracy and better results.
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large frying pan on high heat
- Cut your mushrooms into slices about 1/4” thick and sauté for just a minute or two.
- Add your balsamic vinegar and sugar then cook for around 30 seconds or until a nice colour forms.
- Now add you thyme salt and pepper, stir and dive the contents of your frying pan between the 4 slices of toasted crusty bread.
- Drizzle with a little xtra olive oil if you wish.
Paul's Tips
It's always best to just wipe your mushrooms if possble because if you wash them they will absorb a lot of water and then in the pan they will tend to boil and not fry.
