Ingredients
300gMushroomsWhatever kind you prefer, I use brown caps myself
2tbspolive oil
1tbspbalsamic vinegar
½tspsugar
½tspthyme leavesif using dried 1/4 tsp
salt & pepper
½cloveof garlic
4slicesof nice crusty bread
extra olive oil for drizzlingOptional
DISCLAIMER
I recommend using the Metric measurements (instead of cups & spoons) for more accuracy and better results.
Instructions
Heat oil in a large frying pan on high heat
Cut your mushrooms into slices about 1/4” thick and sauté for just a minute or two.
Add your balsamic vinegar and sugar then cook for around 30 seconds or until a nice colour forms.
Now add you thyme salt and pepper, stir and dive the contents of your frying pan between the 4 slices of toasted crusty bread.
Drizzle with a little xtra olive oil if you wish.
Paul's Tips It's always best to just wipe your mushrooms if possble because if you wash them they will absorb a lot of water and then in the pan they will tend to boil and not fry.
