The Easiest Tiramisu Ever

November 29, 2020 | By | Reply More

Tiramisu is something quite a few people have asked me about. Normally this classic Italian dessert is quite a fiddly thing to make, especially when you’re short on time. However, this is recipe that’s simple, easy and very quick, in fact it can be made in less than 15 minutes.

It may not excite the purists if they knew how it was made, but I can assure, it has all the taste of the classic with a fraction of the effort.

Cuisine: Adapted Italian
Author: :Mr. Paul

Ingredients

  • 225 ml whipping cream
  • 225 g mascarpone cheese room temperature
  • 71 g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Amaretto liquor or Brandy optional
  • 450 ml espresso or STRONG black coffee at room temperature
  • 1 pack Ladyfingers biscuits sponge fingers
  • Cocoa powder for dusting the top

DISCLAIMER

I recommend using the Metric measurements (instead of cups & spoons) for more accuracy and better results.

Instructions

  • Put the whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla into a clean dry bowl and whisk until soft peaks form.
  • Now add the mascarpone cheese and amaretto and continue to whisk to stiff peaks.
  • Now dip the ladyfingers in the coffee and place in a 20 x 20 cm tin, make a single layer to cover the base. Be careful not to soak the biscuits, just a quick dip and out otherwise they’ll fall apart.
  • Mow spread half of your whipped cream mixture on top of the first layer of biscuits and Repeat process with the second layer of biscuits and cream mixture.
  • Using a fine sieve or tea strainer dust the top with cocoa powder. Pop it in the refrigerator for around 3 - 4 hours. This is the ideal make-ahead desert as it gets better in the fridge.
Mr Paul's Tips
You can a little Brandy to the coffee if you so wish.
