Make Your Own Seasoned Salt
Seasoned Salt is a great way to enjoy an array of herbs and spices in one convenient mixture. There quite a few Seasoned Salt mixes available in the supermarket these days such as Aromat or Schwartz brands, but if like me you enjoy having things in your larder that you’ve made yourself, then here is my recipe.
It can be used in almost any dish calling for a variety of seasoning’s, especially when very small quantities are needed and are difficult to measure out. Also, by making your own, you can adjust the ingredients to what you and the family like, you can mix and match the blend to suit your own taste.
It’s excellent sprinkled on oven chips, baked potatoes, spiced party nuts or even rubbed over the skin of a whole chicken or turkey before roasting. I’ve even used it in my burger mix, the uses are only limited by your imagination.
